Partners

One strategic partnership, deliberately. Here is what it is and when it comes in.

Why this partnership

INGINES is a one-person consulting practice. The work I do - assessments, strategy, hiring and bonus design, change management - is all the kind of work that gets done in a room with the IT leadership team and the executive sponsor. It is leadership work, not delivery work.

But the assessments often surface problems that need delivery work afterwards. A data infrastructure that cannot be trusted by the executive team. A network that is fragile and under-instrumented. An IT operations function that needs hands-on engineers to rebuild before it can run quietly.

I do not deliver that work myself. Pretending I do would be dishonest and would dilute what I am actually good at. So I have one delivery partner I trust to take the work from where I leave it.

That partner is ITcare -  a managed-service and engineering firm. Their team has the capabilities INGINES does not.

What ITcare brings (that I do not)

IT infrastructure management

24/7 managed-services operations

IT infrastructure management

Day-to-day operations of running and modernizing client systems.

Network engineering

24/7 managed-services operations

IT infrastructure management

design, build, and ongoing operation of network architectures

24/7 managed-services operations

24/7 managed-services operations

24/7 managed-services operations

the kind of always-on team you need when infrastructure has to be watched

The engineering edge: HORA

When ITcare's engineers come in to investigate a network or infrastructure problem, they work with a platform their team built called HORA - an AI-assisted incident-investigation tool that runs across all network layers in parallel rather than sequentially.

Two reasons this matters to a client of mine:

Speed.

A traditional manual investigation across physical, data-link, routing, telemetry, and log layers takes 15 to 60 minutes. HORA produces validated findings in under four. Notification time drops by roughly 84%. For an organisation living with chronic incidents - which is the situation that brings most clients to an IT Assessment in the first place - that speed compounds into real operational relief within weeks.

Decision authority stays with the engineer.

HORA does the mechanical correlation across layers and presents the engineer with validated findings. The engineer reads them and makes the call. Every configuration change requires explicit human approval. This human-in-the-loop framing is what makes HORA usable for senior buyers who are (rightly) cautious about "the AI will fix the network" claims.

HORA runs on-premises, with full data sovereignty. There is no client telemetry leaving the customer's network.

It is one of the reasons I am comfortable putting clients in front of ITcare for the technical delivery work.

WHEN ITCARE COMES IN

The specific situation, downstream of an IT Assessment: The IT infrastructure itself is the bottleneck.

When an assessment surfaces that incidents and outages are coming from network or infrastructure issues that the in-house team cannot solve quickly - or where the in-house team is too small to operate the infrastructure at the scale the business is reaching - ITcare's engineers come in to design, modernise, or run the relevant pieces. I scope what is needed and oversee. ITcare delivers.

The engagement starts with me, the diagnosis comes from me, and the implementation is led by ITcare. The buyer has a single accountable contact (me), and the technical work is done by people who do that work full-time.

About ITcare

ITcare is a managed-service provider founded in 2021 in the Republic of Moldova, by professionals coming out of IT consulting and network engineering. Their in-house engineering team manages infrastructure for clients across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

They are a young firm, but the team is not. The founders and senior engineers have decades of operating experience between them, and the work they have shipped for international clients is the reason I have been comfortable putting clients in front of them.

How to start

The right first step is the same as it is for any work I do: the Assessment, or a 30-minute call if you are not yet ready for the assessment. If your situation turns out to need ITcare's involvement - data, network, infrastructure, or operations - we will scope it together at the end of the assessment.

You will not need to negotiate two separate contracts; the engagement comes through me.
